7 Stupendous Words

Words have power and the English language is so expansive, it provides us with so many words to choose from. Here are 7 stupendous words that are great to know.

Serendipity – Desirable discoveries by accident.

I love this word. It is not only a nice word to say but I love the idea that you can come across something good unexpectedly.

Arctophile – A lover of Teddy Bears.

How wonderful is this. I’m defiantly am Arctophile.

Bowdlerize – Removing or modifying written passages considered vulgar or objectionable.

50 Shades of Grey would have been a very different book if they had bowdlerized it.

Epeolatry – The worship of words.

Maybe I’m a little guilty of this.

Lucullan – Luxurious or sumptuous

What makes you feel lucullan?

Sempiternal – Everlasting, eternal.

So many things in our lives are not sempiternal but those that are, are wonderful.

Sybaritic – Loving luxury or sensuous pleasure.

I defiantly feel Sybaritic when in a stationary shop.
